Voter Assistance at Vote Early Day Events

Mobilize thousands of people across the country to the polls through nonpartisan efforts

Posted October 3, 2026

Background & Context

Vote Early Day serves as a celebration of early voting, bringing together hundreds of community organizations, businesses, campuses, media organizations, and local leaders across the country to encourage Americans to make a voting plan and cast their ballots early ahead of the November midterm elections. This year, Vote Early Day will be Saturday, October 24.

Immediate Problem

Vote Early Day is supporting community-based organizations planning nonpartisan voter education, community engagement, and early voting events.

Work & Deliverables

Lawyers can enhance these celebrations and events by answering voter questions, providing accurate basic information about voting rights and requirements, and supporting voters as they make their voting plans. We are offering event hosts the opportunity to request connections with volunteer lawyers who
attend their events and play this role.

Volunteers will be trained on essentials of voting rights history, common voter questions, handlinc common scenarios at or near polling locations, and how/when to contact the EP hotline through on demand training programming. They will also be offered additional written resources and information from trusted partner organizations.
