Ohio Attorneys Needed to Support OH Election Officials & Poll Workers
Protect OH election workers worried about the latest tactics of federal gov’t investigations
Posted June 17, 2026
Immediate Problem
Recently, the FBI conducted a search of an Ohio voting rights group. Many fear this is another tactic to cause distrust in our elections, which could lead to more threats and harassment towards election workers.
Election officials, both full-time and seasonal, should be supported on the job and able to focus on running free and fair elections for their communities.
We need OH attorneys to join the network and stand by to support election officials.
Work & Deliverables
The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a project designed to provide election officials with pro bono legal help in response to the increasing wave of work-related harassment, intimidation and, targeting.
EOLDN has received requests for legal help from election officials in OH. These requests report harassment, threats, attempts to undermine the election officials' job responsibilities, and now fear of federal investigations for simply doing their jobs.
Election Official Legal Defense Network
Election officials and their families are being harassed and intimidated simply for doing their jobs of running fair elections. They also face an increasing wave of state laws subjecting them to criminal penalties for performing their professional duties. The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) matches these election officials with qualified pro bono attorneys who can offer legal guidance and protections. EOLDN is a project of the nonpartisan, nonprofit Center for Election Innovation & Research.
