Eleanor Lives!

Help Nonprofit Eleanor Lives! Draft an International Bill of Rights.

Eleanor Roosevelt and others had a plan for humanity to emerge as a human family built upon an International Bill of Rights (IBOR). Work with our Drafting Committee to revive and implement this plan.

Background & Context

After WWII, at the closing ceremony for the United Nations charter 75 years ago this year, President Truman called for the “preparation of an International Bill of Rights” that could be enforceable in the courts of all countries “just as the U.S. Bill of Rights is enforceable in the courts of all states.” Eleanor Roosevelt and others set out to accomplish this task, and as a first step created the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Next came Regional Courts. Now this project works on the further expansion of the Regional Courts and the drafting of an IBOR that can be enforced in the courts of all countries.

Immediate Problem

Despotism, planetary environmental ruin, economic disparity and discrimination are on the rise given that an International Bill of Rights, with Regional Courts to enforce it, has not been sufficiently established.

Work & Deliverables

We need lawyers to assist the Drafting Committee for Eleanor Lives! to review suggestions submitted globally for the wording of IBOR, and to participate in the drafting process (done mostly by Zoom) with the amount of time that they have, between 1 to 5 hours a month, approximately.
