ACLU of Nevada Election Safeguarding

Help protect Nevadans' voting rights

Posted September 23, 2026

Background & Context

The ACLU of Nevada, in partnership with local nonpartisan organizations, is recruiting Election Protection Volunteers to observe polling sites and help ensure that all Nevadans can participate in a free, fair, and accessible election.

Observers help to ensure that our elections are free from intimidation, disinformation, and other voting rights violations. Trainings are entirely online to be completed within the volunteer's schedule. This initiative is strictly nonpartisan and not affiliated with any political candidate or campaign.

Some volunteer roles may require travel, and if applicable, ACLUNV provides reimbursement for travel expenses.

Work & Deliverables

We are seeking volunteers for nonpartisan observation at polling sites across Nevada. Attorneys may serve as observers or site leads. Volunteers will monitor for potential voter intimidation, disinformation, barriers to voting, and concerns regarding polling-site procedures and legal compliance.
