Webinar: Legal Frameworks for Telehealth Abortion Provision (Virtual)

Tuesday, June 16th at 2pm ET / 11am PT | Virtual (Zoom)

Posted May 19, 2026

Background & Context

Join We The Action and the Reproductive Health Initiative for Telehealth Equity & Solutions (RHITES) for a virtual session designed to educate volunteers on recent developments in the reproductive rights landscape and highlight upcoming projects in need of attorney support. This webinar is ideal for volunteers interested in engaging in reproductive healthcare advocacy and expanding access to legal support in this evolving area.

Immediate Problem

With ongoing threats to telehealth care, it is critical to understand the evolving landscape of litigation, laws, and regulations as well as the scope of how telehealth can be used to support and provide abortion care.

Work & Deliverables

This session will examine emerging and existing litigation, laws, and regulatory frameworks related to telehealth modalities and their integration into abortion care. RHITES will also discuss the broader impact on abortion access and provide attorneys with a framework for navigating provider and patient risk, healthcare regulations, and compliance considerations.

Volunteers will gain an understanding of the current threats to abortion provision via telehealth as well as an understanding of the complex regulatory structure, resources to support future legal and regulatory questions, and opportunities for continued involvement in expanding access to abortion care via telehealth.

This webinar is intended for lawyers interested in learning more about abortion care in the telehealth landscape.
