Break down barriers to voting, access to services and employment

Background & Context
Voteriders is a national, non-profit, non-partisan organization that focuses on ensuring that every voter has the ID they need to cast a ballot. Since many states require an ID to get a birth certificate but you need a birth certificate to get an ID, the voter is caught in a circle that they cannot solve. MS also has an odd rule that requires that an attorney file the application to amend a birth certificate, which is a service we provide primarily to trans and non-binary voters. We need an attorney to assist with these sorts of limited representations.
Immediate Problem
Legal representation for MS born voters to get ID and other vital records.
Work & Deliverables
Mississippi has strict rules for obtaining vital records that many people cannot meet and so need an attorney to apply on their behalf. Also, trans and non-binary voters who seek to amend their Mississippi birth certificates are required to have an attorney file the amendment for them.
