Election Official Legal Defense Network
TX Attorneys Needed to Support TX Election Officials
Protect TX election workers reporting harassment and attempts to undermine their job duties
Posted September 22, 2025
Immediate Problem
Election officials should be supported on the job so they can focus on running free and fair elections for their communities.
Work & Deliverables
The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a project designed to provide election officials with pro bono legal help in response to the increasing wave in harassments, threats, and state laws subjecting them to criminal penalties for performing their jobs.
EOLDN has received requests for legal assistance from election officials in Texas. The requests report harassment, threats, and attempts to undermine the election officials' job responsibilities.
We need actively practicing attorneys in Texas to join the network and stand by to help.
Election Official Legal Defense Network
Election officials and their families are being harassed and intimidated simply for doing their jobs of running fair elections. They also face an increasing wave of state laws subjecting them to criminal penalties for performing their professional duties. The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) matches these election officials with qualified pro bono attorneys who can offer legal guidance and protections. EOLDN is a project of the nonpartisan, nonprofit Center for Election Innovation & Research.
