How do we structure an alliance between multiple NPOs. New 501c3?

OSA's goal is to create a patient centered research agenda and to find treatments.

Immediate Problem

I just need a quick call to discuss if we can create a shared project between organizations, or if we need to launch a new 501c3.

Work & Deliverables

We need guidance on how to structure this new alliance. For example, do we need to form a new NPO or is there a way to share a project between two separate NPOs?
