Review articles: "What to Expect in a Massachusetts Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) case?
8,000 Massachusetts families end up in CRA cases because a difficult child's parents or school have run out of solutions to deal with the child.
Posted April 4, 2020
For more than 15 years, parents in Massachusetts have been seeking information about what was CHINS and is now CRA to find help for their children with serious behavior problems. CRA is an improvement on CHINS, but it is still a drastic step to take. At MassLegalHelp we have finally prepared materials for parents to help them understand what to expect in a CRA case, but we need an attorney with actual experience in these cases to review 4 articles that describe the very specific details about what happens at court.
Review these easy to read materials at home on your own time. We have reached out to CPCS and other legal aid attorneys, but everyone beyond overwhelmed with case load. We are looking for an attorney in private practice who has the time, interest, real life experience and expertise in these cases to help parents understand what to expect as well as what it actually means to file a CRA case on your own child, how to navigate the court system if the school has filed a CRA.
