Provide Legal Review of Weekly Immigration Updates

Help thousands of immigrants understand changing immigration laws and their options.

Posted October 22, 2026

Background & Context

USAHello provides free, multilingual information to help immigrants and refugees navigate life in the United States. Nearly 4 million people used our website in 2025.

Together with Church World Service (CWS), we publish a weekly immigration newsletter reaching tens of thousands of readers.

We're expanding this work into short videos, social media graphics, and other shareable resources. Attorneys can help us amplify important information they're seeing in their own practice to reach communities nationwide.

Immediate Problem

Immigration policies are changing rapidly, and it's increasingly difficult for people to understand what these changes mean for them.

Our team has strong immigration policy and communications expertise. We need practicing immigration attorneys who can add real-world legal perspective, identify important nuances, and help ensure we're providing accurate, useful guidance before publishing.

Work & Deliverables

Review short immigration updates for USAHello's weekly newsletter and website, focusing on legal accuracy, practical implications, and actionable guidance.

We especially need attorneys with current, hands-on immigration practice experience who can clarify how policies are being applied in immigration court and other real-world settings.

- Review brief drafts or answer specific legal questions.
- Flag inaccuracies, missing nuance, or important considerations.
- Suggest clear, practical guidance on people's rights, options, and next steps.

Ideal commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week, typically Thursday afternoons or early Friday mornings, ahead of Friday publication.

We welcome both consistent weekly reviewers and attorneys available for occasional questions. Our team provides the drafts, research, and focused questions. No client representation or lengthy legal memos are required.

We are about to expand our classroom to include new short interactive e-learning modules to build community resilience around topics such as digital security, civic skills, and emergency planning.
