Work & Deliverables

We need lawyers to be available for pro bono consultation and representation of small advocacy nonprofits, and be available for engagements with partner organizations should they have need for local counsel in your state.

Project Plan

Preparation Phase

  • Review training materials and guides
  • Wait to be matched with a nonprofit needing legal support

Collaboration Phase

  • Consult with nonprofit to determine needs
  • Develop plan to meet needs not resolved by consultation
  • Notify Democracy Capacity Project if certain needs exceed your capacity

Wrap Up

  • Ensure nonprofit has relevant records and documents
  • Notify Democracy Capacity Project that you are available to assist another nonprofit
