Public Environmental Data Project (PEDP) Lobbying Advice

Help a coalition understand whether we can lobby federal or state officials.

Posted October 9, 2025

Work & Deliverables

We are an unincorporated coalition made of several incorporated non-profits (and individual volunteers) with varying lobbying rules. We are not currently lobbying federal or state elected officials as a coalition, but are exploring whether we want to or should, and need help understanding the possible legal ramifications of doing so.

Currently not accepting new volunteers.

Open Environmental Data Project

The Open Environmental Data Project (OEDP) leverages the spirit of collaboration to create multi-sector strategies that strengthen the role of data in environmental and climate governance. We are part of a larger, unincorporated coalition preserving and providing public access to at-risk federal environmental data. We seek legal support for both our non-profit organization and the coalition.
