Mississippi requires that the person ordering a birth certificate produce an ID or license to prove who they are and their entitlement to get the BC. Our client does not have ID (actually needs the BC to replace a lost ID) so we need an attorney to represent him for the limited purpose of ordering the BC. We will pay the cost of the BC, and can share a sample representation letter that other attorneys are using for this work in other states. Once the representation is established, the actual work to gather the necessary information and order the BC should take less than an hour.
