The Worker Center Bar: Lawyering in Support of Low-Wage Worker Movement

Increase legal resources and support for workers in low-wage industries throughout the country.

Posted August 8, 2024

Background & Context

Grassroots Law and Organizing for Workers (GLOW) is a legal non-profit organization dedicated to using legal strategies as a tool to build power for marginalized workers and create systemic change through deep partnerships with worker centers and other base-building organizations.

GLOW seeks to support the movement for economic, racial and gender justice by building a base of experienced and value-aligned movement lawyers throughout the country; partnering with worker centers to implement hybrid legal and organizing strategies that build worker power; leading and coordinating strategic litigation; and providing legal analysis on legislative policies.

GLOW is currently looking for just-minded attorneys to work with us in supporting low-wage workers across the country. We are asking you to join GLOW's Worker Center Bar to provide value-aligned legal resources to worker organizations. The Worker Center Bar is comprised of experienced litigators, new lawyers, law students, and legal workers who use a variety of strategies including popular education legal trainings, strategic research, legislative and labor agency advocacy, and litigation to embolden and defend worker organizations. If you are a lawyer and you are interested in joining GLOW's Worker Center Bar, please sign up.
