NEC Society

Necrotizing enterocolitis is a devastating intestinal disease that can affect premature and medically fragile infants during their first weeks and months of life. The NEC Society was founded by Jennifer Canvasser after she lost her son Micah to NEC just before his 1st birthday. We bringing together clinicians, families, and anyone who cares to advance NEC research, education, and advocacy to build a world without this devastating disease.
