Help immigrants become citizens of the United States

Background & Context

U.S. citizenship applications are the final step in the immigration process. Some immigrants have waited years or decades to apply for citizenship and overcome numerous hurdles to reach this point. U.S. citizenship allows people to vote, serve on juries, travel freely, and live and work permanently in the United States.

Maxwell Street Legal Clinic is an immigration direct services provider established in 1999 and located in Lexington, Kentucky. The office handles a wide variety of affirmative immigration cases, including family petitions, green card applications, DACA renewals, and citizenship applications. We also have a robust victim-centric practice assisting trafficking survivors, domestic violence survivors, and abused children through filing U visas, T visas, VAWA, and SIJS applications.
