Spanish Domestic Violence Email Hotline
Provide legal information and resources to SP monolingual survivors of domestic violence

Immediate Problem
There is always a high need for legal information from survivors looking to protect themselves and their families, and adding volunteers allows us to try to meet that need on an on-going basis.
Work & Deliverables
Fluent Spanish-speaking attorneys will provide legal information to domestic and sexual violence victims and survivors. We are requesting that the lawyer is very fluent and can use Spanish punctuation correctly.
Preparation Phase
- Remote training on September 16 @ 1-5pm
Collaboration Phase
- Draft email responses within 24 hours of assignment (volunteer attorney can choose day)
Wrap Up
- We are requesting a minimum 6-month commitment.

WomensLaw is a project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, which is a social change organization dedicated to creating a social, political and economic environment in which violence against women no longer exists. In 2001, the WomensLaw.org website was launched to provide state-specific legal information and resources for survivors of domestic violence. In 2002, WomensLaw.org added a confidential Email Hotline to offer direct support to survivors, their advocates, friends, and family members regarding domestic violence, sexual violence, or any other topic covered on WomensLaw.org. Today, more than 3.9 million unique users visit the website annually, and WomensLaw.org provides referrals and information to more than 5,000 individuals through the Email Hotline.
