Represent Immigrant Child in New York

Help an immigrant child gain legal status in the U.S. and protect them from deportation.

Daylin (19yo) from Honduras, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and Asylum claim (Bronx)

Daylin is a 19 year old young woman from Honduras. When she was two years old, her father was murdered by gang members for refusing to join the gang. Her mother fell ill when Daylin was 13, and was no longer able to care for her. She sent her to live with her aunt in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. In early 2019, she began to get harassed by gang members who told her that she needed to serve them or she would end up like her father. They began to follow her every day to school and back. She was then approached by men who informed her that they had killed her father and that she needed to leave because she looked too much like him and they didn’t want to see his face around. They threatened to kill her if she didn’t leave Honduras. She entered the U.S. on May 12, 2019. She is scheduled for a MCH on May 20, 2020. She is eligible for SIJS and Asylum.
