Protecting these groups from legal challenges is crucial to ensuring the support for our immigrant communities remains uninterrupted.

Work & Deliverables

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer(s) with legal expertise to assist us in drafting a comprehensive Subpoena Playbook. This resource will help immigration nonprofits prepare for legal challenges, specifically related to federal subpoenas or lawsuits.
Immigration organizations, particularly those supporting undocumented individuals, face increasing legal risks in today's complex political and legal landscape. It’s crucial to equip them with clear guidance on their rights and actionable steps to mitigate these situations.
Responsibilities:
- Research and outline the legal rights of nonprofits when facing subpoenas or lawsuits.
- Develop a detailed playbook on how to prepare for and respond to federal legal actions.
- Provide actionable insights tailored for nonprofit organizations supporting undocumented immigrants.
