Collect on Warrant in Debt

Collect on funds expended for a default contract and Warrant in Debt judgment issued

Posted January 21, 2025

Immediate Problem

How to move forward to collect on the Warrant in Debt.

Work & Deliverables

Access Virginia was awarded a judgment for Warrant in Debt on November 20, 2024. It was for videography services at our 10-year anniversary gala. Videographer was paid in full before production of the video. The video produced did not meet the contractual terms agreed to. It has still been unpaid by the other party to the suit. I'd like advice on how to proceed or if I can get representation on this matter.

Project Plan

Preparation Phase

  • schedule a call, review Warrant in Debt,
  • if representation is possible, issue a letter to the debtor

Collaboration Phase

  • Conduct debtor's interrogatories to find out assets
  • Advise nonprofit on next steps

Wrap Up

  • Advise nonprofit on how to collect the debt and help ensure a successful collection
