Work & Deliverables
A. is a 5-year-old from Venezuela. A. was physically and sexually abused by his alcoholic father while under his care. The Safe Passage Project pro bono attorney would help A. apply for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) in Kings County Family Court based on his father’s neglect and abandonment (at minimum), then assist A. with filing Form I-360 Petition for SIJS with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and in his removal proceedings before the Immigration Court. A’s next immigration court hearing is on July 17, 2024. A. is also eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
