The Greenway Foundation
Since 1974, The Greenway Foundation (TGF) has been Denver’s premier non- profit responsible for planning, funding, and constructing environmental and recreational enhancements along the South Platte River and its tributaries. TGF also provides environmental programming to thousands of elementary school students each year as well as providing youth employment opportunities each summer. In addition, TGF provides a variety of community outreach and engagement events, all focused on reconnecting Denver’s citizens to our city’s greatest natural resource. The South Platte River is a lifeline for the health and enrichment of Denver’s urban environment, an anchor for adjacent business and residential development furthering the quality of life for Denver citizens. TGF works with individuals and groups of all sizes to engage with the River through their participation in and support of TGF’s outdoor education and engagement efforts.
