Help Medical Educators Navigate Creative Commons Licenses and Open IP (6-10 hours)
We are creating free best-in-class medical content for medical education programs. Helping us navigate CC licenses and open IP will help ensure the content is open and free for everyone, forever.

Foundations of Emergency Medicine (FoEM) has created multiple courses to help educate medical residents and current doctors. Each course has been created using Creative Commons licensing, which allows others to use the content without explicit permission. FoEM has followed the guidance provided by Creative Commons but wants to ensure it is doing everything it can to ensure the licensing is done correctly so that the content can continue to be made available to the medical education community in an open and free manner in perpetuity. The work would entail reviewing our current approach to licensing and making any recommendations for changes (if necessary), as well as recommending best practices for licensing of future content. Some knowledge of intellectual property laws will be needed, and ideally, knowledge of Creative Commons licensing would be helpful as well (though not a prerequisite).
