Help survivors of repeat offenders navigate their options and coordinate action.

Posted October 12, 2022

Background & Context

Callisto's mission is to empower survivors of sexual violence to navigate inequitable systems utilizing technology.

We are recruiting attorneys with experience working with survivors of sexual assault to serve as “Legal Options Counselors” and provide advice and counsel to college survivors of repeat offenders.

Callisto Legal Options Counselors:
Support survivor agency
Are highly empathetic and use a survivor centered-approach
Are knowledgeable about what legal options exist (and don’t)
Think expansively and freely beyond existing legal routes (i.e. restorative justice, etc.)
Understand intersectional trauma and oppression

Work & Deliverables

Once survivors match in our online tool, Legal Options Counselors provide advice & explain options including reporting to Title IX or law enforcement, risks of posting on social media, and/or coordinating care with the other survivors.

You will only be providing advice and NOT representing them in any type of hearing.

We ask for a year commitment and the ability to take at least 1 case per month. Each case takes approximately 5 hours of work with a limit of 10 hours.
