Alternatives to Domestic Violence

DV Victims Empowerment Project

We will save victims of domestic violence who do not have access to an attorney.

Posted April 13, 2021

Background & Context

Most victims of domestic violence do not take legal action simply because the “system” is too complicated. The nuances of the law and resources required for a case are out of reach of victims. Those that do come forward but without an attorney are less likely to be successful in court. This means victimizing them all over again. It can be prevented.

Work & Deliverables

Appear in court, file motions and orders of protection, give advice or options, U visas and immigration help
