Youth Voter Pre-Registration Initiative

Posted March 6, 2018

ACS needs volunteers to spread the word about voter pre-registration for teenagers. We need youth voices to be reflected at the polls and to help in that effort, ACS has compiled state-specific youth voter pre-registration education materials. Many states allow youth from 16 years old to pre-register to vote, however, many of these states don't actively encourage youth to pre-register to vote. We are looking for volunteers to give short, educational presentations to youth in pre-registration states. ACS has state specific voter pre-registration resources for you to use in high schools, libraries, civic organizations, and other public venues to help get out the word on how youth can pre-register. You can even consider visiting the high school you graduated from to present on pre-registration! In addition, we're looking for volunteers to spread the word at your local March for our Lives march. We will send you materials to share, including pocket constitutions and handouts on pre-registration.

American Constitution Society

The American Constitution Society (ACS) believes that law should be a force to improve the lives of all people. ACS works for positive change by shaping debate on vitally important legal and constitutional issues through development and promotion of high-impact ideas to opinion leaders and the media; by building networks of lawyers, law students, judges and policymakers dedicated to those ideas; and by countering the activist conservative legal movement that has sought to erode our enduring constitutional values.
