The  Detention Project works to end the abuses transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people experience in prisons and jails across the country. Detention Project volunteers respond to letters sent by trans and gender nonconforming people in prisons and jails requesting legal information and resources and draft case summaries for incarcerated trans people to help us connect them with attorneys that can  represent them. This is a remote position open to anyone  regardless of legal experience; minimum time commitment is approximately 3 hours a week.
