RAP Sheet Evaluation

Record cleaning can open doors as people rebuild their lives after convictions.

Posted February 2, 2021

Background & Context

Use your analytical skills to screen clients’ conviction histories for record clearing remedies.

In order to complete the record cleaning process, they must decipher complicated, technical documents such as court records and RAP sheets (Records of Arrest and Prosecution) to determine which convictions they may be eligible to dismiss and when they will be eligible. This can be difficult for those who have not been legally trained and who are not comfortable reading these documents.

Work & Deliverables

Help with the first step in record cleaning by reading conviction histories and evaluating for record cleaning eligibility. This project can be done anywhere (where you can keep the information confidential) and anytime, work at your own pace and as you grow your comfort in reviewing these materials, take on more challenging records.

Project Plan

Collaboration Phase

  • Receive redacted conviction histories; review & identify potential remeies
