Work & Deliverables

Join us for a virtual conversation on Friday, October 21st at 1p ET.

Voting rights are under attack across the nation, so the fight for fair and accessible elections is more urgent than ever. Lawyers are a key resource in the fight for free, fair, and safe elections

Every citizen has an equal right to participate in our democracy. Yet, barriers to the ballot box persist, particularly for those who were historically disenfranchised. And new threats to democratic participation are emerging every day in statehouses across the nation. We The Action and When We All Vote invite you to a conversation with civil rights leaders Valerie Jarrett and Tina Tchen for an insider's look at the threats facing our democracy and the ways lawyers can partner with nonprofit organizations to protect our election.

Tchen also served as the Executive Director of the White House Council on Women and Girls for all eight years. After the White House, she headed the Chicago office of the Buckley law firm, where she founded a practice advising companies on corporate culture, following which she served as the President and CEO of TIME’S UP Now and the TIME’S UP Foundation. Tchen also co-founded the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund to connect people to legal or public relations support for sexual harassment across dozens of different industries.
